Nikon D40X First Test
This is the very first time that I took my new camera outside of the house. It was my cousin’s school field day and I was asked to take their photos. Janjan is at Grade One while Mary Joy is at Grade Five. Photos were taken this afternoon in Baras Elementary School.
Whenever people see my camera, they always ask me take the photos of their children. Do I look like a photographer for hire? Maybe it’s just the camera. I only saw four people having SLR, and three of them are Nikon. Mine’s the only one digital, I think.
Anyway, this afternoon’s weather is a little bit rainy so I have to protect the camera. To tell you honestly, I am just beginning to learn on how to use the camera and SLRs. So it might take sometime before I could fully optimize using this photo.
These are the drum and lyre band and their majorettes.

I think I have a problem whenever it comes to the top margin.

It’s drizzling. I’m worried that kids will get sick.

Although parents (especially moms) were repeatedly asked by the teachers to stay away from their children when the latter perform their dance or exercises. School authorities put up a fence which did not serve its purpose.

I went to my tita’s house after the shoot. Her neighbor asked me to take a picture of her apo, but the little girl would always cry whenever I go near. I have to zoom the lens. But since the size of the photo is big, I don’t think it will be pixelated once I print it. The next photos are just experiments.
