It’s been a long time since my mouth last tasted an alcohol. January maybe. Not that I am craving for it, but I just want to have that feeling again of being “high,” a situation where you care about nothing and no one will take you seriously. The high that allows you to say anything because, as they will tell you, “lasing kasi.” The high that lets your brain have temporary amnesia once you got really drunk. I miss that high where the moment you arrive home, you just want to nail yourself in bed for the whole day.

Unfortunately, circumstances did not allow me to drink again with my officemates. Last month, they went to Antipolo for a team GA. I wasn’t able to go there because of a previous committment. Last week, they went to Marikina while I was under the sheets. Sarap kayang matulog lalo na pag malakas ang ulan. But I’ll make sure that next time, schedule permitting, I’ll go with my workmates.
