BES Batch 1997 Get-Together
I slept for only three hours today. My classmates in elementary came over and we had a mini-reunion. It was really unplanned, yet worth remembering about. We belong to Batch 1997, Grade VI of Baras Elementary School in Baras, Rizal.

Kay actually brought up the idea of having a get-together when we met in the Easter Sunday mass last March 23. Not really a bad idea since the last time our batch had a gathering was in May 2006. Back in 2005 we had slept-over at Kay’s house. That was the time when there was a program in the municipal grounds on Labor Day, and it so happened that we were just there: Kay, Ivy, Ailanie, Reycel, Eszard, Cristiana (that’s all I can remember).

Last April 18, I texted all my classmates in elementary and asked if there was something we can do this summer. A lot of responses came: Eastwood, Metrowalk, Baguio, etc. But last night, we ended up just staying in our house and drank some alcohol (and iced tea).
So who were present: me, of course, Ivy, Ailanie, Irin Dee, Nestlee, Kay and eventually John Michael. We fetched Kay, then proceeded to D’One to order pancit and lechon manok. We dropped by Mekmek’s house to invite him.

T’was fun. From the words of Nestlee, in her valedictory address, “Masarap balikan ang mga dahon ng lumipas.” Malakas ding bumangka si Mekmek. He’s also the tanggero. Kay, of course, politely declined to drink the two GSM Blues that we contributed to buy. Nalasing kaya si Kay sa iced tea?

Our main topic for the night? Sino itong classmate natin na matapos ang pitong mahabang taon ng relasyon, ay biglang nahiwalay sa kanyang partner? But kidding aside, I’ve knew more about my classmates in whole evening and morning that were together. Nestlee, by the way, got sexier. Napagod sa pag-aaral.

Before 6 am, we walked to Nestlee’s house and had coffee, courtesy of her cheerful mom. Upon reaching the National Road, the Ivy, Ailanie and Kay took a tricycle. Irin Dee, by the way, left before 12 since she lives in Morong.
There’s no “pilapil” in Metro Manila.

Tao po. Tao po.

For those who failed to attend, we’re cooking up another event, tentatively set on May 10. Send me a message to know more about this, and when you do, include your contact information specially your mobile number.
