Print your own tshirt design!
After months of delay, a blog entry, an irreversible printing mistake and P 2, 000, I was finally able to print my own tshirt design.
Here’s the result:

I printed the design in an old Penshoppe shirt that I bought in a bargain sale for P 100 about two or three years ago. I haven’t worn this shirt for years.

The design wasn’t originally what I planned, but it resembles what I made more than three months ago. Nympha urged me to print the shirt, making no modification on the design. I made some changes though when I printed it this morning.

Since I have used up all the ink in my printer (the black ink of which was replaced about a year ago, it’s first replacement since I purchase the printer in June 2005), I have to buy a new ink. It cost more than P 1, 600 for the original HP ink, plus I have to buy the transfer paper for P 476 (Avery, three pieces) at Octagon in Megamall. My colleague said he found five pieces of papers for P 300. I have to check that out.

I made a mistake in the first shirt, because I did not know that I have to cut the edges and retain the section that you want to be printed. Also, I wasn’t able to completely iron out the paper itself, that’s why some sections weren’t transferred. Oh well, learn from your mistakes.

The images are not clear because I did not use a digicam. I just use my camera phone.
Next mission, print my own media shirt. But that would be after I have created the reformatted masthead for the newspaper. By the way, my co-writer, Mary June, told me that her mom recommended me as a researcher for the souvenir program of Tanay, Rizal. Well, who am I not to accept it. It’s another form of experience for me, and money of course. Seems that my career as a media man blooms.
