I only use my cellphone when it’s really needed. I text my sisters, friends and former classmates. I call whenever I complain to Digitel. In short, I only my phone on important things. That’s why it’s annoying to receive messages from your carrier and most specially, from text scammers.
As a precaution to others, I am posting some messages that I have received.
From 09262471717: “Congratulations! Last 11/13/2007 Ur Cell# had Won P200, 000, 00 +N73 Unit frm: New PCCNS DTI-Permit#9170 Series of 2007 Call me Now! IM Atty Henry Morales”
From 09265582408: “Congratulations!!! Pres. GMA Charity Fund. Ur Sim# have Won! P680,000 Thousand. oct. 19/2007, DTI PRMT#0010/4 more info? Call no. Atty. Amor L. Lopez”
From 09264150098: “Congratulations! Pres. GMA Charity Fund. Ur Sim# had Won!680,000.00 07/22/2007 > 4 more info? Pls call me now! I’m Sec. Manuel C. Manding”
From 09267770212: “Congratulations: Last 06/21/2007 Ur cell# had Wond P900,000 + Nokia 6630 Unit from: new Pagcro DTI-NCR Permit#2578 Series of 2007 Call Now Atty: Carlo C. Diaz ”
This one from 290: Public Advisory: Beware of text messages informing you that you;ve won a prize. We never ask our winners for cash or prepaid loads to claim a prize. Don’t be a victim!
It makes me wonder why people fell prey on text scams. If you did not join the contest, how can you win? There’s a whole thread of this in the government website.

I’m Atty Morales.
i called him using my other number and asked him about my price and he directly answered that its true which is really unbelievable because of 3 points:
1) directly answering without checking it on computer record and that is already late at night
2) the one who contacted me is using his personal number
3) i surfed the web about that PCCNS which is according to him, Philippine Cell phone Communication and Network System which monitors all the cellphone nationwide, and I didnt found it so i continue researching about it until I found this blog.

in these cases, we should report the scammer’s number and modus operandi to globe. their investigative team will handle this. in my case it was actually weird. i bought the new sim card 04/04/08 and i haven’t given my new number to a lot yet. this guy texts me today 04/07/08 telling me that i won. some bullsh**. in case any of you were wondering, i bought that sim card in vertex (vertix) in powerplant. in case you have the same experience, pls do post it. the scammer’s name is “atty. carlo diaz” who when i called, didn’t even sound like a law graduate! absurd!

bwahahahahah ano kala nya? maloloko nya ako? eh wala naman akong sinalihan na raffle of whatever kind! nag reply ako saying “Scam ba ito?” and he never replied hahahahah no plans of ever calling him — i am VERY positive he’s a scammer.

ako din nakareceive ng ganyang message from attorney carlo diaz saying that i’ve won 500,000 and a 6600 unit. nakakainis nagpaload pa ako para lang matawagan sya but he answered the phone binati pa nya ako ngf congratulations the worst thing is nung sinabi nyang bumili daw ako ng 3 pcs of cell card ng t.m, i never know if totoo ba o hindi then i try bumili nga ako pina scratch nya sakin yung card kinuha nya yung call card no. and pin no. tapos ppunta daw sya ng LBC hawak nya na daw yung money and its already to release hinihingian nya pa ako ng 4′500 and then i decided to search on the internet nakakainis sobra ng malaman ko na scammer pala yung atty.carlo diaz na yan tinanung ko pa sya sabi nya totoo daw na nanalo ako. well tnx a lot for this site and for all people who upload their blog sana maaksyunan agad tong modus operande nila… para wala ng maloko pang iba!!!!

I received that text just now and I did my research online and to know marami na palang natext ang kung sino mang desperado at sick bastard na yan.
Sa akin lang can someone from DTI investigate who really is this at siguro naman sa bansa nating kahit butas butas ang batas may natitira paring batas na pweding iparosa sa taong ito.
Or else I would rather ask anyone involved in vigilante na pwede palutangin ang taong ito sa pasig? Walang ciang kwentang taong mabuhay kasi wala n nga ciang matinong nagagawa nanloloko pa cia ng kapwa nya.

Nagulat ako nung narcv ko yung txt kc roaming sim card gamit ko. then I called him with my norway number tas tinanong ko totoo ba toh? tas sabi nya wala daw silang tym makipaglokohan kaya totoo daw yun..gusto ko sanang itanong kng pano ako nanalo at san? then sabi nya electronic draw nga daw tas ang bilis magsalita parang bisaya pa nga, tas nageenglish pa xa, eh hallerrr sa pananalita nya di naman masasabing atty. Just received this text today. I wanted to call DTI pero nag research na lang muna ako dito sa web. may DTI num na rin pla ang mga scammers na tulad nito.
Thanks sa blog na ito at nalaman ko na marami din pla nakakareceive ng ganitong texts. kawawa naman yung mga walang access sa internet at naloloko ng mga hinayupak na ito.. be informed… gamitin ang utak…wg basta maniniwala sa ganitong mga texts…

Thanks to this blog. Sana may paraan para ma-trace at mahuli ang mga scammers na ito. Sa mga makatatanggap ng similar text messages tandaan, “if it’s too good to be true, it is probably untrue”.

I received text messages before but I ignored because I know that it’s just a text scam! Just this afternoon, atty eugene sanchez texted me this was the number: 09072500569 informing me that i won,850,000,000 blah, blah last sept 13 on a electronic draw lots! Since I’m financially ill now, i tried to call that number and asking me to text my name, age, address so I did! I immediately answered them that maybe you’re just using us for money tapos magababayad kami sau ng ganito, etc…. he told me that the pcnns don;t lie! ewan ko ba…..wala naman daw sila kukunin sa aking any amount…san kung totoo yan, di ko! pero maniniwala pa ako kung go bingo yun! hehehe they had given me the address para dun ko daw iclaim! if i will go there, i will ask my police brother to go with me to witness and arrest them if they made any falsifications!!

At first, duda na ko kasi wala naman akong sinalihang contest, but then i tried calling nga this person, tunog bisaya nga, then wag daw ako maingay for security reasons, she ask me to text my name and address and kung saan papadala yung so called prize. She also told me that if I cant claim the prize by 10AM it will be forfeited.Then pinabili nya ako ng 5pcs worth 300 na card, then I asked her to text me the next step kasi i have no load na, I play their game muna, she called up nga then nag lecture pa sakin…
hahaha muntik na ko maloko, legitimate prize winners are notified by a registered mail and don’t asked for money or load to claim the prize, i should know kasi nanalo na ako dati…

Since after office hours na, wala akong nakausap. Ang ginawa ko, nag-check ako ng website ng DTI. For some reason, ang bagal mag-download ng mga images from the site, so I typed “pccns philippines” sa search engine ko. At heto nga ang isa sa mga pages na nakuha ko.
Ingat kayo sa mga text messages na ganyan!

I tried to call them and they gave me 2 options how to claim the prize. 1st is to wire the money thru LBC and 2nd thru bank deposit. I told the so called “atty” that I rather have to visit Manila just personally to claim the prize but she refused rather discouraged me for it’s too complicated process and it might put me in danger carrying the big amount of money at hand. To my curiosity, I ask her how about depositing the money to my bank account..she seemed a little glad and gave me nonsense instructions about the codes by buying 3 pieces of Smart prepaid card worth Php300 and Talk N’ text.
All of the above procedures cautioned me that this is nonsense. Aside from speedy load consumed to my calls she instructed me to buy nearly Php2000 of prepaid cards.
I thought to myself that this is insane and definitely way of scam schemes.
I begun irritated and frankly told her that I can buy whatever you want me to buy just to get the prize but first let me check this promo to the DTI if it is genuine and to the NBI then She stop texting me eventually.
To somebody out there! please don’t get easily carried out with these scammers. Aside from sucking all your current loads to your c.p. they also wanna trick you with something just to steal money from you in any cause.

frm the first time I read the txt it was so weird because it came from personal cel nos. then I search to the internet the so called PCCNS and the raffle draw nos..well, here comes…a SCAM…
for MR ATTY CARLO DIAZ can you pls stop this kind of annoying txt to everybody because its not good from the very first place and you’re using different sim’s nos or name in order for you not to locate. But still the messages are all the same!

my grandmother got the same message! this is so annoying and scary! why do people do this things,
this is the message:

my grandmother called this number and it then she said that i must text her name, address and age. So my grandmother texted her name, address and age.And then the number texted again, he said: “Col n kau” does that sound as a respectable attorney? So I search the name Atty. henry Morales ad i found this blog. Thanks for posting this blog,
Now i’m scared because its possible that any minute they will come to our house. Who know if they are gangsters or theives?

beware sa number na to 09082925442, atty eugene d. angeles, nanalo daw ako ng 2nd price w/total amount 850,000.00. then hinihingan nya ako ng 5pcs prepaid card from smart worth 300 each card, so 1,500t din yun ha. umpisa pa lang doubt na ko nung nakausap ko sya.
Then, tinex ko agad sya na nagsearch ako sa internet at hindi na sya nag reply.
