OR DO WE?
I just watched the video of Jimmy Kimmel, Live in Youtube, who made some remarks about the Philippines. Kimmel said three things about the country - the awe of Filipinos upon seeing an American, kidnapping and the lack of knowledge in the English language. MORE »

After I voted this morning at 7:37 a.m., (voter number 12 at Precinct Number 1, Number 56 in list) for the Barangay elections, I took pictures of the event and Edward saw me and asked about Baras Balita. I told him that it would be better perhaps if we will release the newspaper on December. I posed him the question, do we still really need the SK? MORE »

Just when everybody thought that last Friday’s tragedy in Glorietta 2 mall will take away the media attention from President GMA’s bribery accusation, it seems that the bombing actually confirms it. MORE »

Just when President Arroyo is being accused of giving bribe money to local government officials, when Speaker Jose de Venecia is being hounded of resignation calls, when Education Secretary Jesli Lapuz battles for the Cyber Ed project, a powerful blast rocked Glorietta yesterday afternoon. MORE »

It’s a high end Nokia mobile phone but the more important thing is he wasn’t hurt in the bus. MORE »

One of the things I like on the elections in the Philippines is the creativity of the candidates in coming up with catchy and attention grabbing political advertisements and jingles. Especially in the national level, these candidates will try everything they can to reach the electorate and embbed in their minds that they are the right person to vote. MORE »

While I was in the jeepney this morning going to the office, I noticed some posters pasted in the road blocks in Junction in Cainta, Rizal. Unmistakably, those were election posters by someone running for the highest position in the town. And when I was going home this afternoon, the message became clearer: Jules Narag for Mayor. The posters were with the message: Happy Valentines. Only a politically naive would think that this is just a mere grreeting for the Heart’s Day. Below the name are the words vMAYOR, with emphasis on the Mayor. Narag is the incumbent Vice Mayor. MORE »
