Call center urges Tesda to fine-tune BPO scholarship

MANILA, Philippines — A contact center company based in Dagupan City, Pangasinan urged the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) to revisit a scholarship program offered to near-hires hoping to enter the business process outsourcing workforce.

The program, known as the “PGMA Training for Work Scholarships,” extends scholarships to applicants wanting to qualify for a job in a call center or firms under the business process outsourcing industry.
