Sleeping in the job is good
Call center agents have always been sleep-deprived. Since our body clock is naturally set to sleep at night, I seldom have a deep sleep during the day. Perhaps it’s the noise and the heat that prevents me from having that “good-day” sleep.
Reading today’s New York Times article encouraged me to sleep during my lunch break. “We’ll Fill This Space, but First a Nap” describes the benefits of taking a nap and how companies encourage the literal sleeping in (take note: not on) job.
It said: “Some sort of incubation period, in which a person leaves an idea for a while, is crucial to creativity. During the incubation period, sleep may help the brain process a problem.”

Hi,
I am totally disagree with this topic i.e. Sleeping in the job is good. According to the studies the human body needs 8 hrs sleep in a day and if some one is sleeping during the work hours then it will show in the productivity of the agents at the end of the day. What do you think about it? Can Sleeping on the Job Really Be This Good For Business?

sleeping in your work will never be good. you’re being paid to work not to sleep and eventually this simple ( as may sound) problem will lead into deeper kind of problem that will jeopardize not just your career but the industry as well, so better be careful.
you wont deprive yourself of sleep if you sleep in the day (its pretty much the same when you sleep at night only done in reverse) if you can’t take it…look for another job!

You’re right! We should read first before we make any comments… not just for the sake of making a stupid comment. Are you guys really from a call center? I don’t think so.
