Injustice on my schedule
More than a week after being in a supposed “lean shift,” I still feel disgruntled. While most of my teammates are in the 2 pm to 11 pm shift, my other teammate and me got the 5 pm to 2 am schedule.
Is it the surname? Is it the AHT? Is it the QA? How does the worst force, a.ka. workforce, or the software perhaps, make the schedule of the agents?
Instead of just taking a jeep and an FX going home, I am compelled to take a cab. The night differential won’t be enough to cover that. In the words of my partner, “para tayong gumimik sa Eastwood.”
The only consolation that I have is being able to sleep during siesta. I can wake up at 3 pm and head to work before 4 pm.

call center schedule are as unpredictable as our weather bureau. having said that, you should have been ready to a point of imagining your route when given such sched. I always take into consideration the travel time of the centers i will be working at as well as try to find a center that wont require me to take a cab and anticipate the worst scenario for transpo and sched. if i don’t like it, then i move and apply to the next.
