This morning, a colleague at the call center lost his cellphone from a snatcher. The right hand pocket of his pants was slashed, about three to four inches long, and he has to use his body bag to hide the cut. One of the things I like on the elections in the Philippines is the creativity of the candidates in coming up with catchy and attention grabbing political advertisements and jingles. While I was in the jeepney this morning going to the office, I noticed some posters pasted in the road blocks in Junction in Cainta, Rizal. Unmistakably, those were election posters by someone running for the highest position in the town. And when I was going home this afternoon, the message became clearer: Jules Narag for Mayor. The posters were with the message: Happy Valentines. Only a politically naive would think that this is just a mere grreeting for the Heart’s Day.
